We started out to produce a featherbed cover that was durable enough to withstand nightly "tossing and turning," as well as repeated hot water washings, and ended up with a featherbed cover that is also very luxurious. DeWoolfson's featherbed protectors are made from a 220 thread count white-on-white damask stripe fabric that has as fine a "hand" as many of the luxury linens that we've seen from Italy. Indeed, many of our customers prefer to sleep directly on our featherbed cover, and use their regular fitted sheet to cover their spring mattress. Generously oversized to allow for shrinkage.
